Inviting testers and how notifications work

From a project’s dashboard page, add a tester by typing their email address. That’s the whole flow on your side — what happens next depends on whether they accept.

Nobody is added silently

Adding a tester always creates a pending invite, whether or not that email already has an App Dropper account. The person gets an email with an invite link, and only becomes a member of the project — able to see it, get notified about new builds, and install them — once they explicitly accept. Declining, or simply ignoring it, leaves the project untouched. Nobody is ever auto-joined on your behalf.

How testers hear about a new build

Two channels fire independently once a project has testers on it:

• Email. Every tester on the project gets an email the moment a new version is uploaded, with a link straight to the install page.
• Push notification. Testers using the App Dropper mobile app also get an instant push notification and can install any build — the latest or an older one — with a single tap, no need to dig up the link.

Managing testers

A project’s tester list shows who’s been invited, who’s accepted, and lets you remove access at any time. Free projects hold up to 10 testers each; Pro raises that to 500 per project.
